This test helps determine if a child is biologically related to a potential aunt or uncle—especially when the alleged parent isn’t available for testing (deceased, missing, or unwilling).
Grand-Parentage Test (Peace of Mind)
This test is for families who want private answers about a child’s biological connection to a grandparent, especially if the parent in question can’t be tested.
👉 If you need a test for legal matters, please choose Legal Grand-Parentage Test
Grand-Parentage Test (Legal)
Court-admissible test that determines if one or more individuals are biological grandparents of a child. Often used when the alleged father is unavailable.
Immigration Test (Legal ONLY)
Court-admissible | For government use only
This DNA test is used to prove biological relationships in support of U.S. immigration applications (USCIS, embassies, consulates). It meets strict legal and chain-of-custody requirements and is conducted by an accredited laboratory.

FAQ
Can a relative of my child’s father take a DNA test to find out if he’s the dad?
Yes. If the child’s father isn’t available, a close relative like his parent (grand-parentage test) or sibling (avuncular test) can be tested instead.
These tests help determine if there’s a biological relationship between the child and the relative, which can give strong insight into paternity. While they aren’t direct paternity tests, they’re a good option when the alleged father can’t or won’t test.
I offer both grandparentage and avuncular testing — reach out and I’ll help you choose the best one for your situation
What should I expect during the test?
The process is quick and non-invasive. I’ll verify ID (for legal tests), have each person sign a consent form, and gently collect a cheek swab using a sterile cotton swab.
How long does it take to get DNA results?
Peace of mind results are typically available in 2–3 business days. Legal tests may take 3–5 business days, depending on lab processing. I’ll let you know when your samples arrive at the lab and when results are ready.
Can a DNA test be done without a parent?
Yes. If a biological parent is unavailable, relationship testing like grandparent or avuncular (aunt/uncle) testing can be used instead. These tests still provide strong results when the parent can’t participate.
Do all parties need to be tested at the same time or place?
No. I can schedule each person separately if needed, at different times or locations. This is common in situations involving sensitive family matters or when parties live in different areas. However, it will be an additional fee.
What’s the difference between legal and peace of mind DNA testing?
What’s the difference between legal and peace of mind DNA testing?
Legal testing is court-admissible and includes verified IDs, witnessed collection, and strict chain-of-custody documentation — often required for child support, custody, or immigration cases.
Peace of mind testing is for personal knowledge only and not legally admissible.
